Rio Branco-ES appoints former Flamengo player Reinaldo as head coach

Rio Branco-ES has confirmed the hiring of Reinaldo as its head coach for the 2027 season. The 47-year-old professional, a former Flamengo player, is tasked with competing in the Campeonato Capixaba and the Copa Espírito Santo.

Reinaldo joins the club following successful coaching stints in Rio de Janeiro. Between 2023 and early this year, he led Maricá to the Campeonato Carioca Série A2 title and the Copa Rio, securing promotion to the state's top division and a spot in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. He most recently managed Sampaio Corrêa-RJ, leading them to a third-place finish in the Copa Rio, which secured national competition berths for the club in 2027.

As a player, Reinaldo had a distinguished career, winning the Copa Mercosul and multiple Campeonato Carioca titles with Flamengo. His professional journey also included stints at São Paulo, Santos, and Paris Saint-Germain, where he won the Coupe de France, as well as playing in Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
