Rio Cuiá bridge construction begins to connect Mangabeira and Valentina

Mayor Leo Bezerra inspected the start of steel beam installation for a new bridge over the Rio Cuiá. The project aims to connect the Mangabeira and Valentina Figueiredo neighborhoods.

Executed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra), the R$ 27 million project utilizes a mixed steel and concrete structure with a 40-meter clear span. The design includes four traffic lanes, a cycle path, and pedestrian walkways. Beyond improving urban mobility, the bridge is engineered to prevent historical flooding in the area through hydraulic studies and riverbank reinforcement.

Following the current stage, asphalt will be laid to open the track before the second stage of construction begins to complete the connection.
