Jacuizinho River bridge reconstruction
Overview
The construction of a 120-meter bridge over the Jacuizinho River, intended to connect the municipalities of Arroio do Tigre and Estrela Velha in Rio Grande do Sul, has reached structural completion.
The R$ 6.745 million project aims to restore connectivity in the Vila Itaúba region after the previous bridge was destroyed by floods in 2024. Previous attempts to maintain access via a temporary wooden crossing failed after being destroyed by heavy rains in May 2025.
Work has now entered its final phase, involving the execution of access embankments. An official opening date will be announced following the completion of all services and verification of safety conditions.
