Rio das Ostras Unveils Festival Schedule and Highlights Recent Athletic Wins

The municipality of Rio das Ostras released the official program for its second Festival Gastronômico and the Sesc Inverno 2026, set for July 30 to August 2 at Lagoa do Iriry. More than 15 restaurants will serve specialty dishes, and the four‑day event will feature cultural activities such as cooking shows, circus acts, literature and poetry performances, plus headline concerts by singer‑songwriter Leo Jaime on August 1 and Paula Fernandes on August 2.

At the same time, Rio das Ostras athletes earned notable results in recent state and national competitions. In judo, Lavínia Rodrigues took bronze at the Rio de Janeiro Student Games, while 14‑year‑old bodyboarder Noah Muhr captured titles in the Sub‑16 and Open categories, placed fifth among professionals, and won the Sub‑18 and Open divisions in Paraná. Female athletes Manuella Giacomassi and Melissa Souza also reached the top of their podiums, benefitting from the municipal Programa Bolsa Atleta and support from Mayor Carlos Augusto.
