Brazil Carnival 2027: Major announcements for Rio and Bahia festivities
Preparations for the 2027 Carnival season in Brazil are underway with several key announcements. Additionally, singer Neguinho da Beija-Flor has been announced as a featured performer for União de Maricá, who will debut in the Special Group in 2027 with a theme honoring Darcy Ribeiro and the construction of the Sambódromo.
In Bahia, the Camarote Salvador has confirmed a diverse musical lineup for 2027, including artists such as Vintage Culture, Mochakk, Carlinhos Brown, and Ivete Sangalo. Meanwhile, the Dicamarote VIP area is set to return to the Micareta de Feira de Santana in 2026 after a nine-year absence, featuring a new production partnership.
Cultural support initiatives are also active, with the Palcos do Brasil project offering R$ 140,000 to strengthen the music scene in Salvador through partnerships between Embratur and Instituto Futuros.
