Rio de Janeiro expands culinary and cultural tourism offerings
Rio de Janeiro continues to expand its culinary and cultural offerings, particularly in the South Zone. In the Leme neighborhood, visitors can combine outdoor activities such as visiting the Forte Duque de Caxias and walking the Caminho dos Pescadores with local dining. The area features a sculpture honoring writer Clarice Lispector, who lived in Leme for 12 years.
New gastronomic openings are also emerging across the city. In Botafogo, Bar São Miguel has opened in a historic mansion, offering artisanal cocktails and snacks like shrimp mini bulovas and braised pork cheeks. Other notable additions include Café Le Cordon Bleu in Botafogo, Forno Paradiso in Barra, and Peixoto Bar in Copacabana, which focuses on grilled fish and traditional bar snacks.
