Rock in Rio implements 24-hour transport and judicial services

The Rock in Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro has implemented several logistical measures to manage the expected daily crowd of approximately 100,000 people. Public transportation, including urban trains and MetrôRio, will operate 24 hours a day to facilitate movement between the festival and various parts of the city. For the first time, stations such as Central do Brasil, Madureira, and Deodoro will remain open throughout the night, offering hourly extra trips to integrate with the BRT system.

To ensure consumer rights and safety, the Tribunal de Justiça do Rio has established a specialized judicial unit at the festival site. This unit will handle cases involving theft, ticket issues, consumer disputes, and violence, including a dedicated space for victims of gender-based violence. Additionally, the court will conduct custody hearings on-site for flagrant arrests.

On the festival grounds, sponsors are introducing virtual queues via QR codes to reduce wait times at brand activations. Meanwhile, the VIP area offers premium services including concierge assistance, themed dining, and listening clubs. The festival's musical lineup features diverse acts, including the British band Nova Twins, who opened the Palco Mundo.
