Rio de Janeiro launches craft beer hub and major cultural festivals

Rio de Janeiro is undergoing significant cultural and economic revitalization in its historic center. Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere has inaugurated the city’s first craft beer hub on Rua da Carioca. This initiative, part of the Reviver project, has invested approximately R$ 8.1 million to subsidize renovations and support local breweries, aiming to reoccupy the downtown area and preserve cultural heritage.

Simultaneously, the city is hosting the Semana de Arte do Rio, a multicultural event featuring over 400 attractions and 74 exhibitions across nearly 200 locations. The festival, which includes musical performances and art exhibitions, is expected to draw 500,000 people.

In addition to these city-wide events, the 16th edition of ArtRio is taking place at Marina da Glória. The art fair features 78 galleries and is expected to attract 50,000 visitors, showcasing works from prominent Brazilian artists and various international curators.
