Rio de Janeiro Subprefecture fines 30 vehicles in Ipanema for illegal parking

On Sunday, 28 June 2026, the Subprefecture of Zona Sul in Rio de Janeiro carried out an urban‑order operation in Ipanema. Coordinated through the Rio em Ordem programme with the Municipal Guard, the action targeted traffic violations and other irregularities. Authorities issued 30 parking‑ticket fines for illegally parked vehicles and seized material from an unlicensed car‑valet who was using a false uniform and ticket book.

The teams also dismantled an irregular camp set up outside a bank branch and inspected the streets Barão da Torre, Visconde de Pirajá and the area around Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz. Subprefect Pedro Angelito said, “Estamos direcionando as equipes para os locais que concentram as principais demandas dos moradores, garantindo o cumprimento das regras.”
