Rio de Janeiro traffic rerouted for Minions race on Sunday

CET-Rio announced a special traffic operation for the Minions race (Circuito Centauro Desbrava) scheduled on Sunday, 28 June. The plan advances the leisure area in Copacabana, Leblon and Ipanema, leading to temporary closures on Avenida Atlântica between Rua Francisco Otaviano and Rua Prado Júnior, Avenida Delfim Moreira between Avenida Bartolomeu Mitre and Avenida Epitácio Pessoa, and the full stretch of Avenida Vieira Souto.

The operation will run from early morning (around 2 – 3 a.m.) until 6 p.m., with CET‑Rio agents, municipal guard officers and traffic support teams on site to ensure safety and traffic flow. Motorists are asked to follow signage, heed instructions from officers and use alternative routes where possible.
