Rio Ethical Fashion 2026 highlighted during Rio Innovation Week

The Rio Ethical Fashion forum, now in its sixth edition, took place on 5‑6 August 2026 as part of the Rio Innovation Week at Pier Mauá in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sponsored by Sebrae and the Dutch Consulate, the event positioned sustainable fashion as a driver of technological and economic transformation.

Panels addressed consumer behavior, AI‑driven craftsmanship, circularity and business ethics, bringing together designers such as Lenny Niemeyer, Thomaz Azulay and Oskar Metsavaht, journalists Lilian Pacce, Marina Caruso and Jorge Grimberg, and other industry figures. Organizer Yamê Reis said the partnership aims to reposition fashion within the city’s creative economy and reinforce Rio’s cultural and economic capital.
