The state government of Rio Grande do Sul approved the first installment of a R$15 million investment to asphalt the Estrada da Boa Esperança, a route that forms part of the Caminho das Pipas. The initial payment of R$3.75 million will enable the municipality of Rolante to begin the licensing process for the works.
Governor Eduardo Leite, Vice‑Governor Gabriel Souza, State Tourism Secretary Raphael Ayub and Rolante Mayor Alceu Trevizani attended the signing ceremony. Officials said the upgraded road will improve safety, mobility and accessibility, boost tourism and support economic development for Rolante and neighboring communities such as Ilha Nova, Maragata and Morro Grande.
