Rio Grande do Sul launches two major cultural festivals in 2026

From June 10‑13, 2026 the city of Gramado will host the Connection Terroirs do Brasil, a four‑day event that showcases Brazil’s geographic‑indication products and regional culinary traditions. Organized by Rossi & Zorzanello Eventos with support from Sebrae, the municipal government and the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the fair combines exhibitions, panels, cooking demonstrations and business matchmaking for producers, chefs, tourists and academic researchers.

Starting September 5‑20, 2026 the Festival Gaúchos will relocate its main venue to the former Galpão Crioulo in Porto Alegre, renamed Querência Festival Gaúchos. The festival aims to strengthen tourism and the local economy by linking a network of towns—including Gramado, Canela, Bento Gonçalves and others—through music, dance, visual arts and gastronomy. Its inaugural edition in 2024 generated R$3 million, and the expanded 2025 edition attracted over 200 000 participants and R$4.5 million in economic activity. The 2026 program features traditional performances, premium culinary experiences and public activities such as horse rides and local product tastings.
