Rio Innovation Week 2026 expands economic impact and cements the city as an innovation hub

The Rio Innovation Week will take place from 4 to 7 August 2026 at Pier Mauá in Rio de Janeiro. Organized as a four‑day technology and innovation conference, the event will occupy 90,000 m², feature more than 3,000 speakers across 35 simultaneous stages, host 2,000 startups and 400 exhibitors, and offer bootcamps, mentorships, workshops and immersive experiences such as the Navio do Futuro.

The 2025 edition set records with 205,000 visitors, a 10.8 % rise over the previous year, and contributed roughly R$ 149.7 million to the local economy while generating about R$ 4 billion in business deals. Organisers aim to broaden the conference’s reach, democratise access to knowledge and reinforce Rio de Janeiro’s status as a leading Brazilian innovation hub. Topics this year will span artificial intelligence, sustainability, wellness, EduTech, digital culture and diversity, among others.
