A five-year-old boy with level 3 autism was found dead on Sunday morning in a swine waste tank at a rural property in Rio Verde, Goiás. The child, identified as Tiago Silva Lopes, had disappeared on Saturday, August 15, while spending the day with his family.
Search operations were conducted by the Goiás Military Police and the Fire Department, utilizing a drone equipped with a thermal camera to navigate the complex terrain of woods and streams. Following the exhaustion of open-area searches, firefighters focused on the property's waste reservoirs. The body was recovered at approximately 5:30 AM using a dragging tool known as a 'garateia'.
