Rio+Saneamento launches free river-source tour and mobile customer service in Brazil
The Fundação Energia e Saneamento (FES) organized a free excursion on 20 September 2025 to celebrate Dia do Rio Tietê. Participants were taken from São Paulo and Mogi das Cruzes to the Usina‑Parque Museu da Energia in Salesópolis, where they visited the museum, the source of the Tietê River, an agro‑ecological fair and the historic centre. The event, sponsored by EDP and supported by the municipalities of Mogi das Cruzes and Salesópolis, offered transport, guided tours and educational activities for up to 40 attendees; registration is now closed.
During July, Rio+Saneamento ran its Rio+Perto de Você mobile‑service programme in the Rio de Janeiro municipalities of Itaguaí and Seropédica. The first session took place on 4 July in Itaguaí’s Brisamar neighbourhood, and the second on 25 July in Seropédica’s Jardim Maracanã. Residents could obtain second‑copy bills, change account holders, update personal data, negotiate debts, request water connections or reconnections, and receive information on the Tarifa Social. The Itaguaí pop‑up also promoted a World Cup‑related discount campaign offering up to 65 % off payments, payable in up to 21 interest‑free installments.
