Riot Games to end development on 2XKO fighting game

Following the announcement that Riot Games is ceasing development on its 2D fighting game, 2XKO, developers have outlined the final content updates planned for the title.

A major update scheduled for September 8 will include the character Lux, described as an all-rounder with a straightforward gameplay style. The patch will also feature the final major balance adjustments, aimed at increasing move diversity and reducing frustrating outcomes. Additional content includes new skins for Teemo, Illaoi, and Warwick, as well as a new stage called the Grand Hall of Veneration.

The decision to end development follows struggles with low player counts since the game's January launch. Community discussions have highlighted various factors for the game's decline, including limited marketing, skin pricing, and a restricted launch roster that excluded popular characters like Katarina and Riven.
