Rivadavia municipality signs education partnership with University of Buenos Aires

The municipality of Rivadavia and the University of Buenos Aires' Faculty of Economic Sciences signed a new agreement to deliver courses and diplomas in the district. The pact follows two and a half years of municipal investment that saw the construction of a new university centre and the establishment of links with four national universities.

Professor Hernán Carlos Piotti López, UBA's subsecretary for diplomas and training, praised the mayor Juanci Martínez’s administration, noting the “enormous” effort in education and the receptivity of the local team. Martínez highlighted the expansion of university and technical study options for residents, including continuations of the Agronomy Baccalaureate, the UBA XXI program, a higher nursing technician degree, and new offerings such as a construction technician, an agro‑industrial processing diploma, a programming and data analysis diploma, and a mushroom production diploma. Partnerships also added a French Level 1 course and plan to open nursing licence enrolments in 2026 through a UNICEN agreement.
