River Plate seeks new naming rights for Estadio Monumental

River Plate is moving to restore the traditional name of its stadium, Estadio Monumental, following the early termination of a naming rights contract by the firm Dorinka. The previous agreement, established in 2022, was intended to last seven years but was rescinded effective September 1.

Formal negotiations for a new naming rights partner can begin on January 1, 2027, under a 10-year agreement signed with Live Nation. This deal is valued at $110 million plus VAT. Of this total, $80 million is allocated to the production of 120 concerts over the decade, while $30 million serves as the guaranteed base for managing the stadium's naming rights.

The partnership also involves DF Entertainment and Dale Play Live. DF Entertainment will manage international shows, while Dale Play Live will handle Latin music performances. This strategic shift aims to diversify the types of artists performing at the venue as the club works toward expanding the stadium's capacity to over 100,000 people.
