Rivers in the state of Paraná, Brazil, have experienced significant fluctuations in water levels due to recent heavy rainfall. In Castro, the Rio Iapó showed a continuous rise in water levels between September 11 and 12, partially submerging local structures and decorative landmarks.

In the Vale do Ivaí region, the Rio Ivaí reached a peak of approximately 6 meters above normal levels on Friday, September 11. By Monday, September 14, the water level had receded to about 3.45 meters above normal following a reduction in rainfall. Local environmental authorities continue to monitor the situation, warning residents and fishermen to remain vigilant as the El Niño phenomenon is expected to favor above-average rainfall and storms in the region during the upcoming spring and summer seasons.
