Rivers in Uttar Pradesh rise, causing flood risks in Ayodhya and Bhadohi

Rising river levels in Uttar Pradesh have triggered flood concerns in several regions. In Ayodhya, the Saryu River has risen 34 centimeters above the danger mark, causing water to enter homes in low-lying areas. Residents have begun moving essential belongings, such as food and clothing, to higher ground to avoid damage.

In Bhadohi, the Ganga River showed a slight reprieve as water levels decreased by one centimeter. Despite this minor drop, local authorities remain on high alert. The administration has activated 22 flood monitoring stations to oversee vulnerable villages and sensitive areas along the riverbanks to manage potential flooding risks.
