Rivers State Governor Fubara promotes religious unity and healthcare expansion
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has emphasized the importance of religious unity and healthcare development within the state. During the 10th Spiritual Advisory Council Meeting and Annual Unity Service of Christ Church in Port Harcourt, Fubara, represented by Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, called for unity among Christian denominations to foster peace, tolerance, and regional development.
In a separate initiative, Governor Fubara unveiled the remodeled and fully furnished 105-bed Zonal Hospital in Omoku, located in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area. The governor highlighted healthcare as a fundamental government responsibility, noting that the facility is intended to serve the wider Rivers West Senatorial District, including communities in Egbema, Ndoni, and parts of Ahoada. He urged residents to protect the new infrastructure and equipment from vandalism.
