Riyadh to host major AI ethics and technology forums in 2026

Riyadh is set to host two major international technology events in 2026, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global digital hub.

From September 14 to 17, 2026, the city will host the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. Organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with UNESCO and the International Centre for Research and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE), the forum will involve representatives from 194 countries. Discussions will focus on responsible AI governance, international policies, digital well-being, and the impact of AI on sectors such as education, health, and the environment.

Additionally, the fifth edition of the LEAP technology conference will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2026. The event expects to host over 1,000 global speakers, 1,800 leading technology companies, and 600 startups. The conference will feature specialized platforms like DeepFest for AI, alongside tracks for FinTech, health technology, smart cities, and space, aiming to attract significant foreign investment and foster global technological partnerships.
