RMAFC and NEITI pledge deeper collaboration on revenue transparency

The Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has pledged to strengthen its partnership with the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) to improve revenue mobilisation and accountability within Nigeria’s extractive sector.

During a meeting in Abuja, RMAFC Chairman Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu emphasized the importance of collaboration in data sharing, research, and revenue monitoring. He commended NEITI for its role in providing credible information regarding financial flows and operations in the extractive industries, noting that such efforts enhance public understanding and the management of natural resources.

Dr. Shehu also expressed support for NEITI’s international partners and encouraged continued capacity building in data verification and revenue transparency. The meeting followed the appointment of Musa Sarki Adar as the Executive Secretary of NEITI.
