RNLI stations receive significant charitable donations
Various RNLI lifeboat stations in the United Kingdom have received significant financial support through corporate partnerships and charitable events.
Peel RNLI received a £3,750 donation from Seaboard Trading after the company was selected as the station’s official charity partner for the year. The funds will assist with lifesaving operations, equipment, and volunteer training costs.
In a separate event, Salcombe RNLI raised over £400,000 during a charity dinner at the Royal Thames Yacht Club. Sponsored by the Baltic Exchange Charitable Foundation, the funds are designated for a new Shannon Class all-weather lifeboat, to be named ‘Baltic Exchange IV’, which is expected to arrive in Salcombe in mid-2027.
