Río Grande municipality vaccinates 170 pets, chips 70 and adopts four dogs

The Río Grande municipal government organized a pet care day in which more than 170 rabies vaccines were administered, 70 animals were microchipped, and the municipal pet registry was updated. Four dogs – Flavio, Salem, Cala and Coki – were placed in new homes through a responsible‑adoption program, officials said the event advanced responsible pet ownership.

In Quilmes, the municipality held a combined castration and rabies‑vaccination operation at the Sociedad de Fomento 2 Avenidas. Staff performed 50 surgeries on dogs and cats and vaccinated over 200 animals. The effort is part of a broader municipal animal‑health initiative that has delivered thousands of castrations and veterinary services across the district.
