Río Negro Judiciary uses AI in nearly 80% of administrative rulings
The Judiciary of Río Negro reported that 79.14% of its 4,373 administrative litigation rulings in the first half of 2026 were issued with the assistance of artificial intelligence. This represents a significant increase from the same period in 2025, when AI assistance was used in 55.63% of resolutions.
Developed by the General Directorate of Systems of the Judiciary of Río Negro, the tool was implemented to automate repetitive tasks, particularly in tax enforcement files. The system automates controls such as verifying defendant data, claimed amounts, and checking for bankruptcy or succession processes.
The implementation has notably reduced processing times. For tax enforcement files, manual work that previously took approximately one hour has been reduced to about three minutes. Consequently, the average total processing time for these cases dropped from 6.5 days to less than three business days. While the AI assists in preparing the rulings, judges remain responsible for the final signatures and decisions.
