Río Negro digital and AI integration

Overview

The province of Río Negro is expanding the use of artificial intelligence and digital systems across various government sectors. In the judiciary, AI assistance in administrative litigation rulings rose to 79.14% in the first half of 2026, up from 55.63% in 2025. This automation, primarily used for tax enforcement, has reduced manual processing times from one hour to approximately three minutes per file.

Beyond the legal system, the Ministry of Security and Justice has deployed the ‘Anillo Digital’ system, using 150 automated license plate readers to cross-reference data against databases of stolen vehicles. This technology has increased vehicle recoveries to nearly 130 in 2026. Additionally, the provincial government is advancing a digital state initiative through the ‘Soy Río Negro’ application, which features a digital identity system and the ‘Río Bot 2.0’ virtual assistant to streamline administrative procedures.
