Río Negro launches energy‑efficiency programme for local firms

The government of Argentina’s Río Negro province installed energy‑monitoring equipment at the Neumáticos del Sur tyre‑retreading plant in Cipolletti. Over three months the devices will record electricity use by machine and process area, allowing a technical report with savings recommendations. The initiative is part of a provincial policy that provides free energy diagnostics to businesses in the region.

Senator Enzo Fullone met with national Energy Secretary María Tettamanti to discuss Río Negro’s growing importance in the country’s energy sector. They highlighted private investment, the Régimen de Incentivo para Grandes Inversiones (RIGI) and the need for coordinated national‑provincial management to generate jobs and infrastructure.
