Río Negro Province Completes Auditions for Youth Folkloric Ballet

The provincial cultural authority concluded the audition process for the new Ballet Folklórico Juvenil Rionegrino, holding four regional rounds in Pilcaniyeu, Valcheta, General Roca and Las Grutas. Around 140 young dancers participated, and the selection panel will choose 30 artists to form the new ensemble that will receive ongoing training and choreography work.

Secretary of Culture Martín Fraile Milstein said the project is a "cultural policy decision that looks to the territory and new generations," while dance coordinator Soraya Calderón highlighted the commitment, identity and growth shown by the participants. The final roster of the thirty selected dancers will be announced in the coming weeks.
