Argentina provinces boost road infrastructure in Corrientes, Río Negro and Santa Fe

The Corrientes provincial government is advancing work on Route 126 that links Sauce and Curuzú Cuatiá, with the paving stage at about 20% completion. The project also includes a new regional electricity line and a fiber‑optic network to improve digital connectivity in the area.

In Río Negro, the provincial plan 2023‑2027 foresees more than 15 road works. The most extensive is the repaving of provincial routes 6 and 8 – 180 km of road – now 72% finished and slated for completion by year‑end, backed by an investment exceeding $32 billion Argentine pesos. Additional works involve drainage improvements and bridge upgrades to maintain continuity of the transport network.

Santa Fe has inaugurated a new bridge over the Arroyo El Pindó on Provincial Route 32, connecting Villa Ocampo with Puerto Ocampo and strengthening a strategic logistics corridor. The bridge is the second on the route, with further bridges on the Quencho and Carée arroyos at about 65% progress. Parallel work on the bridges of Route 4 (Capivara I, Capivara II and San Antonio) is over 90% complete, with an expected finish in August, improving safety for heavy‑vehicle traffic.

These coordinated projects aim to enhance regional connectivity, support agricultural and industrial production, and stimulate economic development across the three provinces.
