Río Negro Province Unveils Youth Folklore Ballet Auditions and Territorial Youth Agenda

The government of Argentina’s Río Negro province began auditions for its first Youth Folkloric Ballet, with candidates traveling from towns such as Pilcaniyeu, Valcheta, Bariloche and others despite harsh weather. Over three hours of evaluation will select 30 dancers to represent the province’s cultural identity, with the final rounds scheduled in General Roca and Las Grutas.

At the same time, the newly created Secretariat of Youth, led by Milagros Calvo, launched a province‑wide territorial agenda aimed at listening to young people, promoting training, employment, innovation and participation. The plan includes outreach tours, a youth forum in Cipolletti on 15‑16 August, and collaborative policy design with local organisations.
