Road accidents in central Italy leave several injured

On Sunday afternoon, multiple road collisions occurred in the central Italian regions of Lazio and Tuscany, prompting emergency response from medical services and police. In Velletri, a scooter driven by a local youth collided with a car near a construction site, resulting in the rider being hospitalized with contusions. Later that evening, a Romanian cyclist lost control of his bike on the Appia Nord and was taken to hospital for trauma treatment.

In the Aretino area, three separate incidents were reported. A vehicle struck a guard‑rail in Arezzo, injuring a 70‑year‑old man who was taken to San Donato hospital. Near Civitella in Val di Chiana, a car accident left a 67‑year‑old man hospitalized. Finally, a motorcyclist aged 66 crashed on the A1 highway near kilometre 349 and was also transported for medical care. None of the injuries were life‑threatening, but the incidents highlighted ongoing road safety concerns in the region.
