Road closures and bus diversions in Rome and Tuscany due to sewer and paving works
From 20 July to 13 August, ACEA Ato2 will carry out sewer‑maintenance work on Viale Eritrea in Rome, closing the stretch between Via Lucrino and Lago di Lesina. Heavy‑vehicle traffic is banned on Piazza Santa Emerenziana and Via Lucrino, and two bus stops on Viale Eritrea and two on Corso Trieste are suspended. Bus lines 38, 80, 88 and the night line MB1 are temporarily rerouted, and motorists are urged to check official updates for the altered routes.
On the SS12 between La Figuretta and San Giuliano Terme in Tuscany, Anas closed the road from 20 July until the evening of 24 July for asphalt works. The road will be fully open on weekends, while from 27 July to 31 July traffic will run during daylight hours and the works will continue at night under an alternating one‑way system. Mayor Matteo Cecchelli said the new schedule reduces disruption but noted earlier coordination gaps. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via the Aurelia, provincial roads and local streets.
