Road closures in Campo Grande and parking ban in Cuiabá for marathon and BRT works

The Municipal Transport and Traffic Agency (Agetran) in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, will block Avenida Ricardo Brandão, Rua Pestalozzi and Rua Pedro Celestino from 4 a.m. on 4 July 2026 to secure the arena of the Campo Grande Marathon. Drivers are urged to follow temporary signage and use alternative routes such as Avenida Rubens Gil de Camilo, Rua Jeribá and others. The closures also cover several streets hosting community festivals during the same weekend.

In Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, municipal authorities have prohibited parking on Rua Guilherme Victorino for ten days while BRT construction continues. The restriction, announced by the Secretariat of Urban Mobility and Public Safety, aims to keep a half‑lane open for traffic and ensure safe movement of residents. Traffic agents will enforce the rule and guide motorists to prevent congestion during the works.
