Road closures in Vyškov and Žďár districts disrupt traffic in the Czech Republic

During the week of 20 July, the Vyškov region will see a series of road works, including a partial closure of the I/50 junction near Velešovice starting 22 July and a full closure of the D1 motorway rest area at kilometre 227.5 toward Prague lasting until the end of August. Additional closures affect local streets such as Alšova and V Brňanech, with traffic detours in place.

In parallel, the Žďár region faces numerous permanent and seasonal restrictions. Notable full closures include road II/353 in Vysocká (16 March–31 October) and II/354 in Ostrov nad Oslavou (1 July–31 August). Partial closures affect I/19 near Hamr nad Sázavou (13 July–20 December) and several local streets in towns such as Velké Meziříčí and Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. The extensive list of restrictions stretches across multiple municipalities and runs through the summer months, requiring drivers to follow detours and adhere to updated traffic signs.
