Poland experiences multiple serious road accidents
In the past week several serious road accidents occurred across Poland, resulting in fatalities and injuries. A 20‑year‑old driver lost control of a Ford on road 928 near Kobiór, causing a rollover but only minor injuries. In Brzoza near Toruń, a BMW struck a fallen tree, killing a 19‑year‑old passenger while the driver and another occupant were hospitalized. A collision on national road 53 near Dylewo involved a car and a truck, leaving one person injured. A fatal crash on road 948 in Czernichów claimed the lives of a 26‑year‑old truck driver and a 31‑year‑old cyclist, with a third driver hospitalized. Another serious incident on road 10 near Nowa Góra injured four, including two children, prompting the deployment of two rescue helicopters.
Additional safety incidents were reported, including a water rescue on Zalew Sulejowski where police helped a capsized jet‑ski without injuries, and extensive traffic congestion on Croatia’s A1 highway near Sveti Rok after a vehicle fire, affecting many tourists.
