Road construction in Czech Republic leads to closures near Ústí and Tábor

The Czech Road and Transport Authority (ŘSD) began work to redesign a dangerous intersection near Ústí nad Labem, often referred to as a "death crossroads," in an effort to reduce accidents involving pedestrians and drivers.

Meanwhile, the Tábor municipal office announced a series of road closures and detours on the III/4093 route and surrounding streets. The first phase, from mid‑May to 12 July, restricts traffic to Dlouhá Lhota with a detour via Chýnov and Radenín, affecting both private vehicles and several bus lines. A second phase runs from 13 July to 4 October, closing the stretch toward Kozí Hrádek and Měšice and rerouting traffic through Pelhřimovská Street. The final phase, 5–14 October, fully closes the II/409 and III/4093 junction at Turovec, with alternate routes via D3 highway exits 79 and 84. Special bus services will replace regular routes during these periods.
