Road contracts worth €2.3 million signed for three projects in Konavle, Croatia
In Cavtat, county mayor Blaž Pez witnessed the signing of three contracts for road works in the Konavle municipality. The projects, funded jointly by the Dubrovnik‑Neretva County Road Administration and the Konavle municipal government, total €2,347,172.
The first contract covers the third phase of emergency maintenance on the local road between Dubravka and Bani, extending 900 m of a 3.1 km route, at a cost of €1,310,441. The second contract funds the second phase of reconstruction on the local road between Čilipi and Komaja, adding 1.1 km of work for €549,314. The third contract finances the reconstruction of a 150 m segment of a county road near the new primary school in Cavtat, fully paid by the county at €487,417.
Signatories included Božo Lasić, head of the Konavle municipality, Ivo Kaštelan, director of the county road administration, and Roberto Krile, director of Dubrovnik Roads. Work is slated to begin after the season, aiming to improve traffic connectivity, safety for pedestrians and schoolchildren, and overall quality of life for residents of Konavle.
