Road modernisation projects continue in Pitești and Negomir, Romania

Mayor Cristian Gentea of Pitești said that modernising the city’s streets remains a top priority, but the work will only begin after the water and sewage networks are upgraded. He outlined plans to refurbish eleven streets in 2024, including Bulevardul Petrochimiștilor, Frații Golești and Nicolae Dobrin, pledging full asphalt paving and new sidewalks.

In the rural commune of Negomir, Mayor Tudor Oiță announced the completion of road upgrades in three villages—Raci, Condeiești and Artanu—under the national Anghel Saligny Investment Programme, which targets the modernisation of 38 local roads. The next steps involve installing road markings and traffic signs, while other projects such as a photovoltaic park and school renovations are also under way.
