Road reconstruction projects in Turnov and Sokolov continue through August

In Turnov, work on Nádražní Street began in early July, involving milling and laying new asphalt over about 620 metres. The project, carried out by contractor EUROVIA CZ under the regional road administration of the Liberec region, includes partial closures and detours to keep access to the railway terminal and nearby housing. A spokesperson for the town, Marcela Jandová, said the works are planned so that “access to the terminal and the housing estate remains ensured.” The final surfacing is expected by late August.

In Sokolov, road repairs are ongoing on several streets. The Jiřího z Poděbrad segment is fully closed until 31 August, while work on Kraslická street and a new parking lot will impose restrictions through October or the end of the year. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to follow temporary signage, use alternative routes such as the I/10 entry at Fučíkova Street, and exercise caution around the construction zones.
