Road Transport Department launches final single-letter H series number plates

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched bidding for the “H” series of special vehicle registration numbers in celebration of Malaysia Day. This series, which includes numbers from H 1 to H 9999, is noted by Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli as the final single-letter series that the department will offer.

The letter “H” was chosen to represent “Harmoni” (Harmony), reflecting the spirit of unity and diversity associated with Malaysia Day. Bidding is conducted through the JPJeBid application and is scheduled to run from September 16 to September 20, with results to be announced on September 21.

Pricing for the series varies by category: “golden numbers” start at RM20,000, “premium numbers” at RM5,000, “attractive numbers” at RM2,500, “popular numbers” at RM500, and regular running numbers at RM300. JPJ also noted that the H series is distinct from taxi registration formats, such as HA for Perak.
