PKP Intercity announces major schedule changes for December

PKP Intercity is implementing significant changes to its annual timetable starting December 13. The updates focus on increasing connectivity between major Polish regions and cities.

In southern Poland, the number of daily connections between Bielsko-Biała and Krakow via Czechowice-Dziedzice will double, increasing from four to eight pairs of trains. New services include the IC Czupel, IC Klimczok, IC Rysianka, and IC Pilsko, with three trains being extended to Żywiec. Additionally, a new IC Górnik service will run from Bielsko-Biała to Warsaw, stopping in several Silesian municipalities.

For the Mazovian region, the new schedule introduces more express connections from Warsaw to destinations including Tricity, Poznań, Szczecin, Opole, and Wrocław. Notably, EIP and EIC connections between Warsaw and Tricity will increase from 15 to 18 daily pairs, with travel times between Warsaw and Gdańsk expected to reach a record 2 hours and 18 minutes. New EIC services, such as the Krzywousty and Sedina, will also serve the Warsaw–Szczecin route.
