Traffic and transit updates in Poland

Traffic in Poland continues to be affected by scheduled infrastructure projects and road maintenance across several regions. In the Łódź Voivodeship, major works are planned for national roads DK12 and DK74. Repairs to surface defects on DK12 in Sulejów will require manual traffic control and no-passing zones. On DK74, extensive projects involving new surface laying and shoulder replenishment are scheduled between Budkowo and Żarnowem, as well as between Wójcin and Krasik, and Krasik and Kłopot. These works will necessitate shuttle traffic and speed limits of 50 km/h.

Other regional disruptions include: • Warsaw: Intensive renovations on Madalińskiego Street in the Mokotów district involve replacing the road surface and subbase, causing full closures of certain sections and detours via Aleja Niepodległości and Rakowiecka. Additionally, ZTM is launching special cemetery bus and tram lines to accommodate increased passenger numbers for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. • Gdańsk: A six-week renovation of barriers, curbs, and a tunnel cornice on Aleja Rzeczypospolitej will close one lane near the tram loop during peak hours, with repairs starting October 26. Planned water supply interruptions are also scheduled for late October due to network maintenance. • Radom: Surface repairs on Chrobrego Street will result in lane closures and altered routes for several bus lines. • Lublin: Solaris Bus & Coach is the sole bidder for a 65.5 million PLN contract to supply 15 electric buses. Additionally, a section of the S12/S17 expressway near Lublin was temporarily blocked due to wind damage to a large overhead sign. • Opole: Data from General Traffic Measurement 2025 shows a 17 percent increase in traffic on the A4 motorway, while national roads DK94, DK43, and DK42 have seen decreases due to construction and flood-related repairs.
