Roadworks Close Johan van Zwedenlaan and Zuiderweg in Peize, Netherlands

The municipality of Peize will carry out road works on Johan van Zwedenlaan and Zuiderweg from Saturday, 20 June, through Friday, 26 June. Asphalt will be replaced and a section of Zuiderweg between Schefferstraat and the railway will become a 30 km/h zone. Both streets will be closed to motor traffic between Bangeweer and the roundabout from 06:00 on 20 June until 06:00 on 22 June, with traffic diverted via Peizerweg, the western ring road (N370) and the Hoendiep, or via the Hoendiep toward Westpoort to the A7. Local traffic can still access the neighbourhood with the help of traffic controllers. From 22 June to 26 June, closures will apply each day between 07:30 and 16:30, with Zuiderweg closed in both directions between the level crossing and Johan Dijkstralaan; traffic will be rerouted via Johan van Zwedenlaan. Cyclists and pedestrians may continue using the routes, although delays are possible. The municipality warns that weather may cause work to extend beyond the planned dates.
