Robbie Savage offered Peterborough United manager role

Robbie Savage is set to move from Forest Green Rovers to Peterborough United after being offered the manager’s position at the League One club. Forest Green confirmed that Savage has been granted permission to speak with Peterborough while negotiations regarding the terms of his departure are ongoing.

Forest Green chairman Dale Vince stated that Savage requested to leave the club for personal reasons, noting that the club understands and respects his decision. Savage’s tenure at Forest Green saw the team finish seventh in the National League after a period of early-season momentum.

Peterborough United is seeking a replacement following the dismissal of Luke Williams on 19 September. The club currently sits in 23rd position in League One. While some observers have questioned Savage’s suitability due to his recent experience in non-league management, others suggest his charisma and media presence could provide a necessary change for the club.
