Bryan Zaragoza faces hostility from Málaga fans after goal

Espanyol winger Bryan Zaragoza, currently on loan from Bayern Munich, faced intense hostility from Málaga CF supporters at Estadio La Rosaleda following his goal in a LaLiga match. After scoring in the 13th minute, Zaragoza celebrated by placing a hand to his ear, a gesture interpreted by home fans as a provocation.

Reports indicate that sections of the crowd responded with aggressive chanting, including death threats directed at the player. Zaragoza, who was born in Málaga but never played for the local professional club, defended his actions, stating, “I have no reason not to celebrate,” and clarified that his celebration was dedicated to his family rather than intended as a message to the fans.

The match eventually ended in a 1-1 draw after Adrián Niño scored for Málaga in the final minutes. The incident has highlighted the tension between the player and his hometown supporters.
