Roberto Leal says 'Pasapalabra' will stay on Antena 3 despite court ruling

Spain’s Supreme Court ordered Atresmedia to stop broadcasting the “El Rosco” segment of the quiz show Pasapalabra, ruling that the rights belong to production company MC&F rather than ITV Studios. Presenter Roberto Leal, who hosts the programme on Antena 3, said the legal decision does not end the show. He explained that Pasapalabra is “much more than El Rosco” and that the programme will continue to be recorded and aired while the network and lawyers sort out the dispute.

Leal also used the interview to promote his debut thriller novel, El sótano, noting that his literary project is a separate venture from his television work. He emphasized his confidence in the format’s popularity and indicated that any changes to the final test will be decided in the coming days, but he expects the programme to remain on Antena 3.

Both articles quote Leal stressing that he cannot comment on the legal outcome, that the show is still being filmed, and that he will keep working on Pasapalabra as long as the channel permits it.
