Roberto Romoli rescued after multi‑agency search in Siena province forest

Roberto Romoli, who vanished on the evening of 6 June 2026, was found alive on 7 June in the Val dell’Oro area of Siena province. The operation involved the Carabinieri, the fire brigade from Montepulciano, local volunteers, hunters and canine units, and was supported by drones that located Romoli’s motorbike. After being located in the Belverde woods, he received medical aid from emergency services and was transferred to a hospital in Montepulciano. The coordinated effort demonstrated the effectiveness of Italy’s search‑and‑rescue procedures.
