Roblox accused of stonewalling Texas child safety lawsuit

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has accused the gaming platform Roblox of failing to cooperate with a lawsuit regarding child safety. The state alleges that Roblox marketed itself as a safe environment for children while allowing sexual predators to exploit young users and provide explicit material.

Texas claims the company has been ‘stonewalling’ the discovery process for months, failing to provide adequate responses to numerous interrogatories and document requests. Roblox is one of approximately ten states that have filed similar legal actions. The company previously reported spending roughly $91 million on settlements or related work in its recent quarterly earnings report.
